We are located directly across the street from the path of the Genesee Valley Greenway. The "Greenway" was first the (1840-1878) Genesee Valley Canal and later became the Pennsylvania Railroad. Then, in 1965 the land was purchased by Rochester Gas and Electric. It has now been acquired by the State of New York to become a multi-use recreational trail. The path will run for 90 miles, from Lake Ontario through Livingston County and Letchworth State Park then south near the Pennsylvania border. In honor of the project we chose the name "The Greenway Motel".

Area Points Of Interest :
The Greenway Motel is located in the heart of the Genesee Valley, 2 miles from the northern entrance of the famous Letchworth State Park (Little Grand Canyon of the East). The park's 17 mile scenic drive along the Genesee River offers many sightseeing opportunities. Three breathtaking views of thundering falls, an Indian Village, a park museum, picnic areas, the Glen Iris Inn Restaurant, and the Mount Morris Dam, are just some of the area's attractions. Other local spots of interest in our area include the historic Gen. Mills Mansion, the Francis Bellamy House (The author of the Pledge of Allegiance of America), and several public golf courses.
South of the motel is the Stoney Brook State Park, Swain Ski Resort, and approximately 50 New York Wineries offering tours and tastings.
The motel is in close proximity to the State University at Geneseo, The National War Plane Museum in Geneseo, the Genesee Country Museum, the Finger Lakes Region and the City of Rochester which is filled with shopping centers, museums, concerts and theaters. All of these locations are within an easy driving distance 10 - 45 minutes away.
